Rowena Morgan is a Kija artist based in Broome with strong cultural ties to the country around the Lansdowne Ranges area in the East Kimberley. working with Nagula Jarndu.
The base fabric is ivory in colour and is a three-colour print with light green, light aqua blue and grey coloured details.
Goorrarndal and jila show the brolga meeting up on the plains on Kija Country. They are seeking out the last of the insects that live around the jila before all the water dries up for the season.
